First Aid training, taught by nurses at your location

Add First Aid to your CPR class and your team learns to handle the injuries and illnesses that actually happen at work, at school and at home. Taught in person by two registered nurses.

Two levels of First Aid

Essential First Aid is built into the CPR class and covers the most common emergencies. Full First Aid is the complete American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid course, with its own certification card, for teams that need the full certification. Both include full CPR, AED and choking certification.

What Full First Aid covers

  • First aid basics: scene safety, calling for help, and protecting yourself.
  • Medical emergencies such as breathing problems, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, fainting, seizures and diabetic emergencies.
  • Injuries such as bleeding, wounds, burns, broken bones, and head, neck and spine injuries.
  • Environmental emergencies such as bites and stings and heat- and cold-related illness.

Why teams add it

CPR is for the rare emergency. First Aid is for the cut, the burn, the allergic reaction and the fall that happen far more often. Workplaces, schools and child care centers often need both, and teaching them together in one on-site session is the simplest way to get there.
